Benefit from one to one coaching and hone skills. Or simply feel comfortable with some focused tuition.
We want to expose everyone to tennis so here's another great opportunity for juniors!
Our junior lessons have been launched with great success and now it is time to take those new skills to game format.
Volunteers must be at least 14 years old, Adults who would like to learn how to coach are more than welcome.
In order to change your lesson time, please email or call Greg Stoltz at 905-252-2277
Each session is going to be 8 weeks long. We will be running 2 sessions during the 2018 summer, the first session will start on the week of April 30 and the second session will start near the week of July 2
Shoes: You need to wear closed-toed running shoes to the lessons. If anything else is worn to the lesson, due to injury risks, we will not allow participation in the lesson.
Appropriate Sport Clothing: You must wear clothing that you are able to run and move in
Racket: If you have your own tennis racket, please bring it to the lessons. If you do not have a tennis racket of your own, we have tennis rackets that we can provide for the duration of the lesson. If you have a racket, but are unsure if it is appropriate, please bring it and one of our coaches can let you know! If you would like to purchase a racket for your child, we will be selling Junior Tennis Rackets (19″, 21″, 23″, 25″) for $25
Water bottles: Please make sure that you bring a water bottle to the lessons. When you are playing tennis, you expend a lot of energy, sweat and will have to drink to stay hydrated properly
Sunscreen: When you play tennis, you will be in the sun for an hour straight. We don’t want anyone coming home with sunburns, so please bring sunscreen or apply it before the lesson begins.
Before the lesson: If there is rain before the lesson begins, the coach will try to make the determination approximately 30 minutes before the lesson is scheduled to begin, however the time is subject to change. Also, you can give us a call at the club at (905) 737-2491 or you can call or text the phone number that your coach provides.
During the lesson: If there is rain during the lesson, we may have to stop the lesson prematurely due to safety concerns. If the lesson has reached 30 minutes, the lesson will be counted. If that mark is not met, the lesson will be made up in a subsequent week. This will be arranged by your coach.

Tennis specific shoes, which can be purchased at a number of locations including Straight Lines in Aurora, are very useful for tennis and injury prevention. They have increased lateral stability that they provide, however at recreational lessons they are not necessary.
The Club is located at Crosby Park, 161 Newkirk Road, adjacent to the Centennial Pool.
You can purchase a tennis racket from a number of locations. If you are looking to purchase a tennis racket for children or adults, our retail partner Tennis Central, is a very qualified seller with years of experience and will be able to set you up with any tennis products that you may need.
We will be holding assessment dates on April 21 @ 2-4pm at RHLTC.
We strongly encourage everyone to come out to one of these dates so that we can ensure that everyone is placed in the correct lesson to ensure the best learning environment!
